The whole idea of "self-evidence" is very messy. What seems self-evident to one may be very questionable to another. I would not be inclined to accept any proposition as true, or even likely, simply because it seemed self-evident to some people, even if I were one of the people.

Ahem- mine was a joke. On you. And bigger than I figured. But actually you DID say that you were old and that you had met many people in your long life. Back when you were telling us about your surveys of "Afghans I have known." ROFL. SO I am correct. And you alas, are not. :-P pssst, you: "I see and talk to lots of Muslims here in the US representing at least 20 nationalities. I have also listened to public speeches supporting the Taleban which went uncontested. This was not at a Taleban rally but at the usual weekly services held at a local mosque (masjid)."
