I see what you mean... the dollar is looking a bit toppy right here... charts3.barchart.com For myself, if a particular market is not behaving in the way I expect it to behave with all the available information in front of me, I simply don't touch it... but, that's if I take a fundamental look at a market... I think technicals are simpler and cleaner... but even when the technicals are saying one thing and the market is doing another, I stay away from it... it only means something else is going on and there's no reason I would have to mess with it.....
