Mephisto and I used to be pals, until she stumbled into politics. Nothing heavy though, just slight chat. After all, I am that most pathetic of creatures, a man in love with his wife..... Generally, pricing is corporate, not local, and, in any case, even Podunk is probably close enough to an aggregation of towns to form a larger market, or Wal- Mart (which depends on volume business) would not bother. Anyway, the Annapolis area now sustains several major shopping centers and a regional mall, not to mention those shopping centers and malls outside of its "metro area" but close enough to compete for custom. Even Podunk can manage at least two stores in competition with each other, within an hours drive, I am sure.......
