Dan3:

"Intel used to make PIII's for $25 and sell them to OEMS for $125, now they are making P4's for $60 and selling them to OEMS for $100.

This will be a tough quarter for AMD, it will be a tougher one for Intel."

Dell has made a huge commitment, it seems, to flog the P4 in q3...It remains to be seen how many they can flog even at loss leader pricing. P4 may just be the dud as described by Mr. Sanders...It's a huge gulf between production and sales and to date, the P4 hasn't performed up to par in this regard! If P4 doesn't fly when flogged by Dell, not gonna be nice around INTC for the foreseeable future.

Many people said that about Q2, and it wasn't true, I'm not necessarily convinced it will be true for Q3 either.
