Hmmm. This a tough one. I do believe that he is innocent until proven guilty and should be allowed to perform his professional duties after cooperating fully with the authorities. I would feel the same way if he were Republican (I'm a liberal Dem). But I really hate the way he has acted in the face of this. It strikes me as slimy, right down to hiring his own polygraph analyst. There was an interesting NYT article this morning which discussed an ongoing police investigation of other similar killings and seemed to conclude that her disappearance would not make them think it's a serial killer. I'll dig it up.
