TigerPaw, there are over 200 million guns in the US. More guns then cars. Even if you got rid of those pistols are easy to smuggle. Look at all the success we have had stopping illegal drugs. And drugs need to be replaced as they are consumed. Guns last a long time so you don't need a constant supply. Eventually you will need to replace ammo, but you can reload your own, and also most criminals with guns can get by without using ammo too quickly. A drug addict on the other hand needs his fix.

What total malarkey. Criminals don't give two craps about laws to start with and will not care about future "possible" trouble. However, you greet them at the door with a gun in their face, they are not likely to come back. Scums need treated like scums.
