Did Greenspan specifically address the Dollar in his testimony? A little bit after 10:30 am the Dollar just tanked.

Added to LT Drooy position today.

Granted it's early, but it looks like the Dollar may take out it's uptrend line since last Jan. However, not going to get too excited until it goes to 115 again or US policy relaxes a bit to allow the Dollar to fall to less "stressful" levels.

Roebear re: portfolio weightings fwiw...

Long:

Gold/Silver Miners: 40%

OSX Drillers: 3% (mainly calls as a partial hedge to my NG shorts - may add to 10% max here on weakness)

Short:

Nat Gas E&P's: 25% - haven't covered a single share yet & may get a Driller/call DCB while NG E&P's cont their decline if I'm lucky.

Broad Market Stocks (Homebuilders, Fincnl's, tech) - 7%

CASH - 25%

...I had 10-15% of my cash ready at approx XAU 45/48 waiting... wanted $3.75 GOLD, $4.75 HGMCY, $16.75 NEM etc.

At times I've been more short than long of late fwiw.

Roebear. Maximus Midi-clorinis Posthastus

Way to go, guy! Bet that Kona was good this morning?<G>

Although we're not the only GLG fans here, was me primero and, so far, largest reload in recent restockin' the cupboard with little shiny diggers.

AND...

RE: Another Jedi JV...

There's a nice combination of 2 the better William O'Neil bull patterns on the ECO 60 min chart:

siliconinvestor.com

Nice cup with handle.

But more importantly IMHO, that pattern also contains the potentially explosive "base on top of a base" within it.

That count's well up into the 1s and would break through the important downtrend line since the ytd high:

siliconinvestor.com

As long as it doesn't occur on a shooting star, abandoned baby or other very negative candle pattern, the value of a break above that line on good volume? IMO it would confirm the stock's basing pattern and that's the lows of this consolidation since the high are in place.

We we could be in for some fun on this lil guy AND some of the other patch favs before much more paint drys around here. These dang paint fumes almost as bad as peeling onions.<ggg>

Keep up the good posts!

Cheers,
