JW: I heard part of Greenspeak's discussion with Congress...

-he claimed 'you can not forecast that well'...Hmmm...we know he has proven that over and over again <G>.

-says economy is still weak and 'signs bottom is beginning to structure itself'....I love that phrase....economists never like to commit themselves...lol.

-says 'rate of deterioration is slowing'.

-US housing economy is very sophisticated and quite robust.

**I loved it when a Congresswomen challenged him and said it would appear that the FED's policies may have contributed to the Bubble and Burst pattern we have seen in the last 2 years -- more specifically she was talking about raising interest rates too much at just the wrong time...of course Greenspeak gave a very misleading answer and used up his time in the best way that he could.

IMO, we need Congressional hearings on the effectiveness of the FED...its long overdue. Yet, Congress is SO REACTIONARY that they may wait until after 'a Perfect Storm' has hit us...then its aweful late to make some important changes.

Best Regards,

Scott
