Where are they insisting that W follows their policy ideas? Insisting may be to strong of word, but they are acting shocked and betrayed that he has a differing opinion and is acting on it. As for understanding and tolerance of differing opinions, you'll have to take that one up with the local wacko right contingent, they're fairly representative of the range of "differing opinions" that's allowed on SI without generating endless flamage. Both the left and the right flame each other on SI and many people on both sides have little tolerance for diversity of opinion; all of which is hardly relevant to GW's dealings with European leaders.
