Your information may well be true, but it is not relevant. The British in colonial America had no means to apply regulations on guns, they were very dependant upon the colony to self regulate. And whether Washington ever fired a gun or not, he would haved been hanged had the Revolution failed. Now what's the relevance in that, you might as well said that had the revolution failed the british would have hung Washington whether it snowed at Valley Forge or not. There is absolutely no connection between your points and the topic. The rhetorical attempt to wrap your argument in the flag and the birth of the nation falls flat.
