CALGARY -- Synsorb Biotech Inc. (SYBB) has transferred 100,106 shares of Oncolytics Biotech Inc. (T.ONC) to Roseworth Group LLC, for net proceeds of C$842,273.

In a news release, the company said the share transfer, at an average of C$8.41 a share, is part of a previously announced equity line agreement with Roseworth under which Synsorb agreed to sell up to 1 million Oncolytics shares over a 12-month period.

Synsorb said the number of shares issued in the first transfer represent less than 1.5% of its total Oncolytics holdings.

The company said "meeting our cash requirements through the sale of Oncolytics shares is a non-dilutive and attractive means of funding our ongoing Phase III clinical trials for SYNSORB Cd."

Synsorb said it now owns 6,649,894 shares of Oncolytics.
