You guys are the ones who want to make a big circle jerk out of this. It's perfectly clear to the NRA and other knowledgeable people. Machine guns are offensive weapons. Handguns, shotguns, and rifles are primarily defensive, especially handguns.

Isn't that a bit circular? They only don't have a lawful use because they are illegal. If there was no law against owning them it would certainly be legal to use a machine gun in self defense.
