I think mine has already been run through the USSC, so I wanted to see how that one flew.

Yours brings up an interesting point. In Madison's address submitting what's now known as the Bill of Rights, he goes through a very nice talk about abuse of power and where we should worry most about abuse of power. Within the three branches, he thought the Congress had the greatest potential of abuse, then the Executive. The Judicial didn't even get a mention. But that isn't where Madison saw the greatest danger. The greatest danger came from where the greatest power resided and that was with the people. So as Madison saw it, the Bill of Rights were primarily there to protect the people from the people.

Interesting thought.
