17 minutes past 2:30 and looking weak,Greenspan comments were not what people wanted to hear,i suspect(tiny bit optimistic with major bits of caution--but still sees turning by end of 2001<he thinks,knock-on-wood,type of statement>:). max

Steve, bloody day. IBM's report is the only hope to rescue this market. I think they will meet earnings through cost cutting, but the top line may be under pressure. More importantly is the forward statements. IBM has managed well so far in this downturn but can they be immune for much longer? Probably not, and if that's what they say tonight, we're looking at more sell-off.
