Dear Paul:

Intel is cutting prices again! It assumed little ASP losses yet increased them today. In Q2 a 50% price cut resulted in a doubling of sales of P4. But the amount received is exactly the same but, the costs went up, ergo, reduced profits. P3 and Celeron sales went down even with price cuts. More cuts in profits. They talked of a rosy scenario for Q3 but, are acting out as if AMD's was the correct one. Thus, AMD gave reality and Intel gave hype and hoped the market fell for it. Well, it did for a few hours.

With Intel, actions speak louder than words. Intel talks shipments when it disparaged such talk at those times they were in a better position. Intel used to have volume before a release and now releases before volume. They claim to be alright went they act desperate. Perhaps they need to stop lying to themselves.
