Condit's conduct for the first two months of this thing has more than justified the media attention on him. When a congressman lies publicly and withholds potentially crucial information from the police in the midst of a missing persons investigation involving one of his constituents that's a pretty big story-- regardless of what the ultimate outcome is.

Ok, now let's edit this statement just a little little bit and see what happens:

[Clinton's] conduct for the first two months of this thing has more than justified the media attention on him. When a [President] lies publicly and withholds potentially crucial information from the [investigators] in the midst of a[n] investigation involving one of his constituents [and a private lawsuit in which he has testified under oath] that's a pretty big story-- regardless of what the ultimate outcome is.

The way I see it, you people are just the latest manifestation of a "VAST RIGHT WING CONSPIRACY" to go after Mrs. Condit's husband, and you should all be ashamed of yourselves..... <vbg> I for one think we should let Mister Condit get back to the important work of determining the needs of the people of his district and meeting those needs, one person at a time.
