Hamilton was the junk yard dog of early America. He mounted a one-man campaign to forward the idea of federalizing the government. There is no proof the country would not have advanced faster and been much more prosperous today if it had retained the Articles of Confederation instead of bowing to the cat fight in a locked 100 degree plus house for days and ratifying the Constitution which many Americans at the time (who had fought the British in the Revolutionary War) called "an act of treason and betrayal to the revolution" and called for a second revolution.

Know what? They were correct.
