"But if she weren't a congressional intern it would not be as much news" The main news is that the congressman from California is an unscrupulous pig that will lie to cover his ass even if it means harming the chances of locating his "good friend". Rather does not want to expose this man for what he is. My guess is that it is because it will hurt his beloved party. Funny thing is I think he is hurting his party even more by helping in the cover up. Not to mention the damage he is doing to CBS. I have felt they were pretty left wing for a while, but now I don't trust any of their news and will generally avoid watching anything on CBS.
