Hang on there. First, unlike the seventies, when there was an active and centralized feminist movement in the United States, one could make the statement that that there was a feminist viewpoint.

This no longer the case, as there is no centralized feminist organization (not even NOW). Feminism has sunk into the minds and behaviors of many men and women. We have many viewpoints.

Feminism is NOT equal to women. NOT equal to gender. It is a quasi-political and ideological view taken by members of both genders.

And finally, I have not heard a single woman on this thread (and this includes TOTD, Rambi, X, Karen,and myself) who have expressed anything but repugnance for Condit's behavior. And if you asked, I'd bet most of us would say we were feminists. I don't know how many of the men posting on this thread would refer to themselves as feminists, but I haven't heard any of them defending Condit either.
