I think what really screws things up is the so called compassionate conservatives with their consensus thinking, their new lingo would make Orwell spin in his grave.

Most of them are against prayer in school but have a faith in Kyoto that surpasses the fervor of a born again Christian. #reply-16093881

Quite a few institutions need reforming, that is true. But one tries to work with the givens of society, rather than throwing everything into chaos.

Some liberals have a socialist agenda, but few are totalitarian. We are far from "Anthem".

The internment of the Japanese- Americans was wrong, but it was a result of racism and war hysteria, not liberalism.
