This isn't favoritism; I think it's a genetic implanting based on protecting the ability of the clan to continue reproducing, which is the basic need of our animal selves. You can continue the clan by losing 90% of your young men to war. You can't if you lose 90% of your young women to war.

Oh, I also open the car door for women I'm driving someplace, but not for men. Does that disqualify me?

As far as equal pay for equal work, equal opportunity, etc., I don't see how any responsible father of daughters can want anything less for his children. That's not feminism to me, it's just basic human rights.
