Scumbria, The last 8 years were typified by peace and prosperity That was under Clinton, what makes you think Gore could lead a girls choir practice, let alone a country. Just thinking of Gore in the Whitehouse makes me sick. You need to get a new candidate to start hyping.

The last 8 years were typified by peace and prosperity. We've had, for the most part, peace, because of George Bush's (Sr) brilliant defeat of Saddam Hussein -- a war which forever changed the way America will fight its wars. Brilliant -- in that he defeated the 4th most powerful military in the world with maybe 300 allied casualties. Prosperity. What, are we attributing this to that dirtbag Clinton? Do you actually believe that, had George Bush been re-elected, there would not have been the same prosperity? Obviously, the prosperity would have occurred either way. Please explain: What could the president, whoever he may have been, have done differently that would slowed the prosperity? What could Clinton have done differently during his eight years that would have caused the economy to behave differently? And what could Clinton have done, near the end of his eight years, to stop the economic downturn (that we're currently in) from occurring? After all, it started well before Clinton left the White House. Are you CHARGING Clinton with the downturn, or just giving him CREDIT for prosperity?
