He apparently does some good things with it:

. . .Radio's reigning talkmeister just gave $200,000 to the Astoria Fire Heroes Fund - boosting it past the $1 million mark in a little more than three weeks.

Who woulda' thunk it, as another famous New Yorker once said.

Said Limbaugh: "[Firefighters] do things the rest of us will not do and sometimes they die doing it. They are unique people . . ." . . .

edit:This fund is for the support of the families of three firefighters that recently died.

I seem to remember Clinton donating used underwear to charity when he was governer.

Here's what I have to say about Rush's contract:

Can he hit a 500 ft HR?
Can he hit a fairway wood 270yd to six feet?
Can he drive the lane and dunk over Shaq?
Can he leap through flames while dodging bullets?
No?

Then so what!

He geta a piece of the action on advertising, so it's partly performance based. And no, it's not too much, because twelve years ago AM radio was about to go out of business. Rush came alone, using a rather old concept: call-in talk shows, and to day AM radio, with hundreds of talk shows, is a major media again. Rush's new contract is, literally, pennies by comparasion.
