Dear Robert O: Better go back to the post and read it again! It was not "depreciation" but, "Total Stockholder Equity". If it is less than zero, Liabilities are greater than Assets! What else do you call those? Check the balance sheets of companies in either chapter 7 (liquidation) or chapter 15 (reorganization). You see that this is a common trait. On some the quality of the assets is questioned and a company can be forced into either chapter (7 or 15) before it (TSE) does go to or below zero. Pete
