B-) I still can't see why I want this. Ericsson claimed it as a desireable feature for their DAMPS 50x amps claim. Are hierarchies trying to reduce the number of T1/E1's back at the switch? If you don't have fast power control and are still out of timeslots/channels after adjacent cells grab the other half, and your T1s are still swamped, how is a hierarchy arrangement going to get my call through? Are they trying to distribute the workload of a regional voice switch?
