indexit - I'm not disagreeing that large lots are used to to feign the opposite intent.. that's basic combat tactics.
Anyone can offer shares for sale that they don't really
intend will be sold, and quickly pull the bid.

My point was that on an ECN Electronic Crossing Network, the bid *is* live until it is actually pulled. It can't
be pulled once someone routes a trade to that specific
lot; the match happens instantly. THis is different from
MMs, who can advertise shares for sale, accept orders,
then some time later pull the offer without filling any...
