NTL talking to main shareholder - paper

LONDON, July 19 (Reuters) - Europe's biggest cable operator NTL Inc has been talking to its largest shareholder, France Telecom , about how to restructure the company following the latest fall in its share price, the Independent reported on Thursday. The paper said that with NTL now worth around $1.4 billion and with $21 billion debt, some form of debt-for-equity conversion was likely.
