I would hang on the religious threads if I wanted to spend my time focusing on that topic. I don't. In the case of Islam it can stand on its own and doesn't need me as a defender or promoter. I am not a religious scholar and barely qualify even as a fringe representative. I clarify points when an issue arises, but I do not ask anyone else to move in one direction or another. I have, however, criticised Muslims around the world more specifically and more sternly than anyone on this thread. I object when I see uninformed or misguided comments whether pro or con (on this thread they are usually from the left, con, and based on nothing more that bigotry and nationalism). If you want to know what I think of the Muslim groups and activists around the world you will find that I have much more criticism to offer on these entities than on other cultures. There are none that I know of that are living as a clean Islamic society. Every Muslim I have ever spoken to, who is able to talk freely, has agreed on this. Its the world, not heaven, X. I saw an amazing expose the other night on how girls are kidnapped, kept in locked cages, and forced into prostitution in Borneo. It is not stopped, infact the police generally refuse to take information about it because it is a "MAJOR" economic benefit to the cities in that region. It was awful and I cried uncontrollably for some time after watching this. I notice no comments were forth comming on this thread. That is easy to understand, there are no religious males to hate in this case and the many others like it. "What you believe is right/good/societally correct/fair is part of your agenda (for example). This is about taking a stand on principle rather than on political agendas. Gosh, should I hang my head over this? Tut tut old girl, you know quite well that we are speaking of political agendas and this doesn't qualify. You are beginning to squirm, so I will let you off the hook.
