Hi GV - yes indeedy.

I like to make comparisons that when someone refines the basis, the point being made is strengthened :)

P.S. The timing sensitivity of a short position is why I avoid it. I'm terrible at timing. I paper lost my paper shirt a few years ago, and my current short term calls are still generally off the mark.

If you buy on margin the long side has somewhat similar characteristics, IMHO.
