IRS Director of Office of Congressional Affairs, Floyd Williams, called Schulz today and offered to send their lead attorneys to meet with Schulz and other tax researchers -- but only in private and without video or audio recording. Schulz called the offer "unacceptable." "This is no ordinary taxpayer inquiry. These issues affect millions of Americans. The sessions must be recorded and must conducted fully in public." The IRS also informed Congressman Bartlett that Schulz's tax questions regarding the IRS's legal jurisdiction, the ratification of the 16th Amendment, and the 5th Amendment (Miranda) questions should be answered by the DOJ, not the IRS.
