Speaking of wearing big shoes.... Five years ago I was divorced and working as a baker in my village bakery. My assistant was a very bright 18 year old boy whose father was single. He really wanted to get us together, talked of his father's skills as a boatbuilder, his PhD., his community service. And then he got into details: his dad's favorite color, his birth date, and shoe size. I just cracked up. He had no idea of that legend. He's now my stepson, BTW.
