What do you mean by "porter" btw. Do you mean like draught Guinness? That would be called a "Stout" beer here. I noticed a big difference in the product between what is sold in the UK than in Ireland. Both I find good though.

Porter is sometimes called (used to be called) "entire" and it's history here goes back a couple of hundred years. Usually a murky brown color. I'm referring here to a book written by both Roger Protz and Graham Wheeler who explain how to make the stuff... I have done and it was simple magic. I need to lose some weight before I make it again -g-
