Iso, Allan seems pretty tongue in cheek, but perhaps gallows humour is in order with the state of today's economy/market.

My thought for the day => Any company on the receiving end of a price war threat from the likes of INTC or CSCO makes a good short candidate.

Corrolary to thought of the day => Especially if the economy is going into the tank and the market is flying high.

isopatch,
Took a look at the CRB chart first time in awhile, U-G-L-Y! Just about made first H&S measure at 203 area, next H&S measures down around 99 lows, TA would indicate if it breaks lows of last few days w/o reversing it will hit at least 194 with 180's not improbable. Were it not for this chart and the economic circumstances it implies I would tend to think gold would base here, which it still might, but after viewing the CRB chart I am more bearish on all commodities in the short term.

Here is a good OSX chart with resistance levels clearly shown (good for about 24 hrs):

securitytrader.com^OSX&ChartID=28924&ChartType=D

(Note: if chart jumps to an empty or chartless screen just hit reload and should be ok, they have been having some trouble with that on this site)

Did some shopping today and noticed very light traffic in malls even for a late thurs. afternoon. Would be interested in any reports from other SD shoppers...

Best of luck,

Roebear

Ken,

You think the possibility of a S.A. gold miner strike is putting some pressure on these shares? GOLD was down noticeably today, DROOY kept selling off.
