David. for quite some time I was anticipating a large ABC correction up off the March 22 low. My thoughts kept drifting back to a year 2002 cycle date that had been spewed around over and over for the past 2 years or so, ring a bell?? Is that still valid? anyhow, as this year progressed the 'R' word was being circulated. then the spewage of '2nd half turaround'...which I have been very reluctant to buy into. Now the tax rebate is going to turn it around..h-m-m-m-m...do you buy into that? or is it a shortlived bandaide as the pocket change is spread around this Autumn. That's my thought.

So that brings us to this ED looking thingy your pointing to that started from the May high, which could very well be the case and I have no argument with it.

OR we could have a big ABC up from the March low as in the attached chart. in which case the low area of March-April holds...the cheers begin, then turn to groans as the October blues set in when the tax rebate $$ doesn't save the day/3rd Q earnings are still weak and looking glum further out/the tax cut and corporate slowdown causes a budget deficit and the crap hits the fan into 2002.

just an idea

Still Stinkin Around
