indexit,
Though I too share general feelings that this game is manipulated...I have found it more useful to just assume that the game is like a giant poker game...different players with different size bankrolls...good hands, weak hands, bluffing...all of it.
If one concentrates on the manipulated aspect of the game, then one also has to buy into the idea that the individual has no control, no ability to smartly play the game with the big boys. I refuse to accept that as there are plenty of smaller players who can and do play the game very well.
I prefer to believe that even though there may be funny business going on, that TA and the charts (if one knows how to read them - not saying I do (ggg)...well, sometimes I'm pretty good and sometimes I get faked out...a reflection of my TA skill level only!) provide as well as advantage as can be hoped for. Also, believing such implies that there is plenty of control over one's destiny in the marketplace. After all, it is the individuals choice to play, or stand aside. To long, or to short.
While I do not disagree with your lamentation of the "crooked game", I think it does not help one all that much in learning how to win at this game. I think TA and chart reading is where it's at, and the better one becomes...the better the results.
Just trying to give you another way to look at it...works for me...
Best regards,
Eichler
