Think of it as expanding your intellectual horizons. :-)

Sometimes it can. In this case it didn't. It was just another collage of distorted rhetoric. I'm already quite familiar with the use of distortions and rhetoric used by conservatives.

At 57%? I DON'T CARE!

It's a simple world conservatives live in. You don't care what the comparisons are beween standard of living that relate....just tell me what the tax rate is. All decisions on life can be arrived at through knowledge of the marginal tax rate.

31% vs. 50%? It may be the difference between average rate and tax rate on the top dollar.

Some of the articles I recall pointed to your entire income going to pay taxes into May or June. That's not marginal rate, that's actual tax liability. Since this article that you offer is inconsistent with all those other estimates, and we know that the tax liabilities have not dropped on the order of 20%. It appears your author made up the number of 31% number to make his point.

Conservative have found it to be a more efficient use of their time to make up numbers and facts to prove a point that using real data. Looks like yours has taken that approach.

You can continue to believe him, that's your choice.

not quite sure what inalienable means.
How about: You don't end up in that position for doing nothing.
