Whenever I can, I admonish young people to do their own thinking. I've found that they are too often held sway by the popular notions of their time. It is vital that they do their own thinking, because there is no shortage of people willing to do it for them.

You don't know how strongly I agree with you on that point.

But referring to my response, you'll note that I refer to the US v. Miller decision which is 1939. You could consider that contemporary, but US v. Miller cites historical documents of the 1700s and 1800s, which are quite clear in their expression of regulation and I would not expect anyone to call a 1700's document "contemporary".
