CNBC just had a discussion re: settlement...

They covered several items discussed in the WSJ article, and speculated about whether this would open the floodgates for similar lawsuits. Mentioned Mary Meeker.

I believe the lawsuit was originally for something like $10 million, although it looks like Mr. Kanjilal did recoup 4/5 of his claimed $500,000 investment losses on INSP. Assuming, of course, that his attorneys were working "Pro Bono" (yeah, right!), or received additional amounts from the settlement.

The following quote from the article must get attorneys salivating and frothing at the mouth like pit bulls all over the country:

"It's like putting out warm milk for a stray cat that meows," says John Coffee, a law professor at Columbia University in New York. "You get 30 more cats the next night. This will create an incentive for others to seek a legal remedy."
