ok....I forgot who does that song.......searched...couldn't find it....

<Clappy searches back in his memory banks and sees himself at the age of 10 or so, plunked in front of the TV watching the game show "Name That Tune" with his father and mother. He was the TV's remote control back in those days...>

I can name that tune in five notes...

It was written and sung by the 6th Beatle, Billy Preston.

If not, go here and click on track 13.

Actually, I could not remember it was him who sang it, either. It was driving me crazy.
I had the name Eddie stuck in my head for some reason. I searched under a bunch of Eddie names with no success. Then I thought it was Teddy Pendegrass eventhough the voices aren't even close.
I guess it was because of the linked songs that stick in my head from that HBO special by Eddie Murphy. Might have been his first one. He was singing "Nothing From Nothing" and later was talking about Teddy Pendegrass's powerful voice or something and started singing "You Got, You Got, What I Need", metioned Luther Vandros perhaps, and a bunch of stuff doing his James Brown immitation. <Odd shaped run-on sentence...>
Remember that one?

Eventually the light bulb went off over my head and I remembered the 6th Beatle's name.
(George Martin being the "Fith" Beatle...)

Now I'm certain I'll be singing that song all day long in my head...
Alternating between a variety of James Brown songs...

Heeeeeeeey... Ha. Gimmme dat! Hi-da High. Shu down!
HA!
Hinahigh! Get back. Kiss myself!

Edit: I see Amazon won't let me link directly to the sound clip. Keeps bringing up the page...
Anyhow it's track 13 if you want a listen...

<Clappy goes to the kitchen and pours himself a glass of <in best Elvis voice> Lemonade. That cool refreshing drink...>
