Thanks Paul I knew I shoulda waited til "X" day gg

Jury has an "X" on his calendar and its expiration day...so we get OEX 608 (or is it 607? ggg) today!

I'm gonna be out almost all day today, so I might have to put a lowball QQQ call order in on autopilot also if I want to enter. Expiration day is "return to a price near the open" day for the QQQs(at least according to my previous study). So I might just put a low order in for the QQQ stock instead and go for the scalp at EOD. Should be able to log back on after 3pm.

I'm kicking myself over an "almost" trade yesterday. Almost bot puts on NVLS to fade yesterday's runnup. Reason being....got my report from Semicon West. Seemed mostly "business as usual".. only slower....gg.. @ AMAT booth and most others, however, NVLS had paid for a booth but there was apparently no one staffing it. It was wrapped in a gausey curtain with eerie music playing and a green light shining down on a spot. If you stood on the spot an audio feed basically said "We're Novellus and we're not here" or something to that effect. Sort of a "ZEN" and low cost approach eh?

I stupidly didn't realize that they were reporting last nite, so I though I had some time to mull the puts over :0(.

Happy Trading
See you 3 to 3:30
-John

Hmm, I had to call up SR (aka TB) thurs to stop my hand from market buyung DEC 40 Q puts. Only reason I didn't is that I was real excited about the prospect and not rational.

Better to be lucky than good ;)

Just an observation on the 10/20 EMA on $OEX daily.

Since the market turned sour, we've got the following crossings:

9/13/00 cross down (trouble starts)
11/6 cross up
11/10 cross down (that didn't last now did it ...)
12/12 cross up
12/14 cross down
1/19/01 cross up
2/9 cross down
4/18 cross up (after all the screaming and PPT intervention)
6/13 cross down

Counting days, we've got:

54-
4+
32-
2+
36-
21+
68-
56+
37 and counting -

I'm not exactly sure what this means, except that we could get a + crossing and keep the pattern of 30+ days -, and the + crossing might last a little while. Of course, the 56 day + crossing involved silver bullets from the PPT, and last I checked, they were low on ammo. Oh, and NRG is spiking again :)

RR loves sideline.
