SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 23, 2001--American Technology
Corp. (Nasdaq:ATCO), a licensor of innovative new sound technologies,
today announced it has signed a Collaboration and Licensing Agreement
for its HyperSonic(TM) Sound technology with Dolby Laboratories.
This agreement provides for the use of HSS(TM) by Dolby
Laboratories and for the joint exploration of HSS application concepts
by both companies. Multiple areas will be examined including cinema
sound and professional surround sound systems.

technology into applications such as cinema sound," said Bob Todrank,
