The Delta Queen is neat. We had our H.S. graduation party on the Delta Queen. It had to stay docked in Cincinnati, but it was still the Delta Queen. (1958 if you must know-shhhh).

I think it's more to do with the area becoming more popular and more people in the water than the pier attracting sharks. When I was a kid we used to go to the Keys. Always had a spotter on the pier when swimming and only swam when the water was clear.

I think a trip on the Delta Queen sounds like fun. They run short trips on the Julia Bell Swain out of Peoria on the Illinois. Some day I may get over there and take a ride.
