Most of the time, discrepancy in numbers is usually the result of taking those numbers out-of-context, a common sin among those who like playing the numbers game. And I include myself in the guilty party as well, since admittedly the game can get quite addicting.

At least Intel is consistently vague with the numbers. To me, that's just a long-standing policy. They're reasonably reliable as long as the numbers are taken within the proper context. (How's that for Clintonian logic?)
