Heatsinker, Re: I think you are being blinded by the Intc propaganda machine.

I don't think so. I've been critical on AMD's execution for some time now. I'm no prophet but I am trying to be as objective as possible. And right now it seems that Intel has several trump cards in their hands and that they are suffering much less from the price war than AMD. Of course, you can always argue that Intel is cooking the books, that they are lying about shipments etc. But those things only work over a short period of time. And so far I've seen no evidence that these accusation are true. In fact, I think they are only fantasy scenarios for some AMDroids that want some sort of 'evidence' that AMD is executing better than Intel. Right now AMD isn't. And I don't think that there's much dispute over this. At least not from reasonable and objective persons.

I think AMD will survive the price war. If they can make the .13 and SOI transition reasonably well, they will be in great shape in 2002.

AMD has survived so many price wars it's unlikely they won't survive the current. The only question is how they'll survive. If SOI and Hammer don't work out as planned, they will run into many problems. If they do, I expect them to maintain current market share and be profitable under good economic conditions.
