Nope. You're wrong. The WSJ is a narrow-focus newspaper. No Ann Landers, no baseball box scores, no recipes for barbecued spareribs. Your assertion that the New York Times is a parochial paper shows your ignorance of the subject. It has an international reputation. I currently subscribe to the electronic WSJ but likely will drop my subscription when it comes due again. The New York Times' Web site is superior -- and it is free.

"The NYTimes is a strictly parochial NY, actually Manhattan, paper"

You don't travel much, do you? The NYTimes can be purchased all over the world....

"The WSJ - who commands payment - is universally recognized as the most successful web publication."

And I'm sure you're convinced this is because of it's news content.....or better yet, its' editorial views....
