no matter how you cut it most of the "channel stuffing" is done by intel unless you buy in into the theory that there were only 2 million amd chips sold and almost 6 million went into "channel stuffing"

ps that would also imply that amd's inventory is currently in the neighborhood of 1.5 years

Herb- Re your correction What I was actually referring to was your comment: "As far as back to school is concerned apparently all related sales have been taken in already" (because of channel stuffing).

Back-to-school is about to begin. So most of the CPU's for back to school would be shipped around June. Plus there may have been some channel stuffing of July shipments.

I am guilty of a sloppy reference to what you actually said. Hope you won't hold it against me.
