If we churn out laws to cover every conceivable danger the US will become a totally fascist police state and no one will have rights anymore. So where do you draw the line? I say the line has already been crossed. Franklin was right, and Americans have now been tricked into giving up many basic freedoms for the illusion of safety. There is no real safety or security in this Universe, only the illusion (or self-delusion) that there is. Franklin understood this.
