Morning Bo:
Am sure you had a great trip and we hope to hear more.
We had a much needed two days off visiting Dell and Donnie in Austin. Donnies new home is a must see item if
you get down there. Far more than the pictures showed,
I spoke with MSD a few moments (still easy to do ) , and asked him about the effect of windows XP which he was pretty enthusiastic about.
There were 6 of us old timers together at the meeting, JBN, the Smiths and myself with wives. May get photo in local news.
The most successful one, was he who sold all his Wmt in 1997 and bought Dell and kept every share.
It wasn't me, I had too much margin(g) .They are both up ~200%, but the Dell ride was more interesting.
No suprises in the presentation at the shareholders meeting except the usual miracle that Dell will meet the quarters earning estimates.
However the election of Michael as CEO of the year (by fellow CEO's) required he fly to NY the same afternoon for the presentation.
I am gettting some confidence back now in buy and hold and will place these in a separate account so I
can be less influenced by daily news and will only sell in desperation.(G)
Bought 100+ shares of these, mostly in this past this week......
BSYS,CANI,DELL,ESI, STEM,TARO,THQI,TSS .
Overall are up 4.8% (ESI a loser but Taro a big win)
Ally and Gac.to will go in the account also and I will add some more later
Because of your statement ....
<Not until the overseas economies have adjusted, will the USA be able to move forward. >>
I consider all these plans an experiment so started small and will add to the best if it works.
So far, so good.
Regards
Sig
