Re: THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS with Intel's .13 micron "Tualatin" technology, a representative said today.

The fact that they've been "on the market" for a month now and only a few hundred chips have shown up worldwide is because we don't feel like selling them - not because we couldn't ship a lot if we wanted to.

How long ago was it that that big "official release" of Tualatin took place? Intel sure did put out some impressive press releases on that one.

Almost as impressive as the pages and pages of dual Athlon systems and components that are available, in stock, listed on Pricewatch. And the multitude of mobile Palomino systems from Compaq, HP, and Sony available on retailer's shelves.

Weren't they both released about the same time?

Shows Athlon Palomino officially released on June 5 and PIII Tualatin on June 21.

Gotta hand it to that Intel, they may not be much at shipping chips, but they sure can put out a press release!
