I read several articles where the all the folks everywhere else that don't have American know how want to make gun possession illegal by citizens. Only the government can have all the guns.

America is a unique nation of American laws.

Well the American Creed was adopted by congress April 3, 1918 as the Creed for the United State. It's a formal statement of religious belief.
So it's the law of the land and if it don't fit the bill yet, another law further defining what it means would allow us to agree with all the fruit cases of the world and only allow members of the government have weapons if they wish.

The American Creed.
"I believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people by the people, for the people, whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a Republic; a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect Union, one and inseparable; established upon those principls of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.

I therefore believe it is my duty to my Country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws; to respect its flag, and to defend it against all enemies."

Every citizen of America is a member of the Government. and has a duty to defend it.
